Most of my work sits somewhere between backend development and infrastructure. I enjoy taking a messy process and turning it into something that can run reliably without someone babysitting it.

HOW I WORK
I prefer simple systems that are easy to understand and maintain. Fancy architecture is useful when it solves a real problem. Otherwise, it's usually just another thing to debug.
I also like open source because a project becomes much more interesting when other developers can inspect it, use it, break it, and improve it.
